From VIPPY ARTPRADID, 8,
from Twickenham (34762). Rolf writes:
"if you're drawing an action, always try and
exaggerate the position of the body The human
brain wants to put things either vertical or
horizontal - it really dislikes something which
looks as it it's falling over: But if you've got a
running action with the body straight up and
down that looks as if it's running on the spot -
but if he's actually moving forward with the
body leaning, it looks faster. But you do have to fight
against your instincts because your brain likes
horizontal or vertical shapes. Remember if you
want to draw movement, exaggerate the angle.
This is why Vippys drawing works.
Good on yer, Vippy.
