Club Members'
The Cartoon Club address is: PO BOX 60 BRISTOL BS99 7HN
We’ve received thousands of entries for the Character
Competition and you can see some of them on these pages.
Final judging will take place in July and the winners will be
announced in September during Series Three.
During the summer Rolf will be going to Hollywood to
record a special programme that you’Il be able to see next
Christmas on ITV. "RoIf Meets Bugs and Friends In
HoIlywood" will be all about how Bugs got started and grew
up and Rolf will also be looking at a new series called "Tiny
Toons" being made by Steven Spielberg, featuring some
characters who look as though they might be related to Bugs.
What question would you ask Bugs Bunny if you could? Why
don’t you write to us with your favourite question? We’II
select the best and Rolf can ask Bugs on your behalf.
Lots of you have been writing in to ask whether Rolf has
recorded the theme tune and many older members have
written in to ask about RoIf’s early recordings. There’s not
much good news to pass on to you since he hasn’t recorded
the theme tune and most of RoIf’s records are no longer
available. What we will do, though, is prepare a complete list
of all the singles and all the tracks on all of his records so
that you'Il know which record to look for if you’re seeking a
particular song. You’Il have to visit a lot of second-hand
record shops and hope to get lucky. lf you’d like the list, just
write to us at the Club address, BUT YOU MUST ENCLOSE A
STAMPED ADDRESSED ENVELOPE.
Many of you have also written asking Rolf for advice on
topics that you are studying or how to improve your drawing
or what his views are on many, many subjects. We try to
respond to as many of these requests as specifically as
possible, but it does take time. lf you haven’t heard from
us, bear with us - we’lI get round to you eventually!
ln the next issue, we’Il be answering lots of your questions
on cartoon history, bringing you an exclusive report from
the Warner Bros. animation studio in Hollywood and
printing lots more of your pictures!
WHO ARE YOU?
WHERE ARE YOU?
As you can imagine, making a note of over
80,000 names and addresses is not an
easy task, so it would help us if you could
check that the name and address we have
on the envelope is correct. lf it’s wrong in
any detail please write and tell us and cut
out and send back to us the wrong one.
And remember:
WHENEVER YOU WRITE TO US PLEASE
QUOTE YOUR MEMBERSHIP NUMBER.
